Benson Winery

Our partnership with Bingsen Winery was founded in 2004 by Mr. Yang Bingsen, a pioneer in Taiwan’s wine industry. With precious grapes from vines that are more than fifty years old, he dreamed of becoming a winemaker from a grape farmer, and gradually realized his vision of producing top-quality wine and distilled brandy unique to Taiwanese tastes.

Before the government opened winery applications, Mr. Yang had already started making wine secretly. Although he encountered many challenges along the way, such as police raids, fines and warnings, these did not stop his passion for winemaking. In 2005, Bingsen finally became a legal winery and began their brewing journey to create popular sweet wines and high-alcohol white wines.

2012 is a critical year for the transformation of Bingsen Winery. An accidental cooperation allowed Bingsen to start trying new marketing strategies and brewing techniques, which not only changed the fate of the winery, but also made more people realize the charm of Taiwanese craft wine.
